| Today I saw a naked man standing in a grove |
Today my mom, my sister and I were out grocery shopping. We were passing by with our car, heading towards a grocery store, when it happened. I was looking out of the car window and. There. Standing amidst the greens of a small grove that had somehow fitted itself into the environment of the city. Stood a man stark naked. Just standing there. It seemed. And I just. What. What. Why. Why, I wonder? Maybe he didn't own a shower and was cleaning up by the slim stream that might and might not have been there. Maybe he was meditating in the afternoon sun covered by the mighty crowns of the trees. Perhaps he was trying to attract potential partners. Who knows. Seeing naked men has never been an aspiration of mine in life. Yet, this is not the first time I've witnessed such a... phenomenon. It is with regret I recall the few incidents of the past, involving me unknowingly looking out from the balcony or out of a window and accidentally catching the view of a neighbour carelessly prancing around naked in the comfort of their own home. I don't mean to be prude, the human anatomy is after all just another part of nature and shouldn't need to be concealed only because society teaches us to feel abashed towards it. However, if given the choice, I'd rather not have seen any of those stuff... I could do without it. |
