That was part of her 'old n new' style. However the themes were 'Mythical beasts/animal' or holiday themed.
So "Theme" and "Style" are interchangeable here? Because that design has absolutely nothing to do with mythical creatures except the alien icon on the t-shirt.
at the beginning of the comp everyone choose a style they would have to continue doing for every round, for every round there is also a theme (or more) that the designs must make two designs for. For the mytical creature/animal theme we were told it was ok to have a design with elements of the theme (i.e. it didn't have to be an actual animal or mytical creature), and Catcus interpreted it this way. (Also we don't know if it's actually an alien or something else on the shirt, I mean we can barely see it after all. And anyway I guess it's up to the designer team to decide if it fits the theme well enough or not)
Thank you, that helps clear things up =)

Also according to Catcus' blog, the theme for the female outfit was retro, not mythical beasts. So that explains why she looks totally normal if anyone else was wondering.

Isn't the "icon" the cthulhu head? so the 'old' was when it was it's original form and new is when it's a stylish thing?
idk that's how I interpreted that entry anyway :3
See I realized after submitting that I wasn't sure what it is, but Cthulhu looks more likely, yeah. Makes sense of the old and new thing too, thanks

You can merge the two together which is what some of them have done.
I never said it was, the designs in this blog are just what were submitted.
tangentially, what is the point of saying you "never said" something when A.) everyone can read exactly what you wrote and B.) the phrase fallaciously precludes the validity of insinuation? I never said you said anything. I never said Mickey Mouse was a hero.

That's because two people didn't submit entries. Onyx was having issues with her gimp and Deathwish we never heard from.
sad bc deathwish was one of my fav ._.
It's a shame really, but nothing we could of done to help. I sent a message out a few days before the deadline as a reminder and the day before.
