Not a fan of Kubrick's adaptation to the big screen tho. As a movie of his own is very nice but not faithful to the book, he took too many liberties on the script so i recomend reading the book first.
My favorite book is "the stand" by Stpehen King. Is a most read of the genre imo.
I also like a lot "the perfum" by Patrick Suskind. Raw and at the same time delightful.
