Avengers is like.. it appeals to a wide audience and it's arguably among the very few franchises (Marvel that is) that gets people to the cinema in an age where people choose to stream rather than pay the price of one month of streaming to see something when it's new. 

I mean, capitalist measures as highest grossing movie doesn't say anything about the quality of the movie but rather its overall appeal to the masses. There are probably a tonne of movies which are of higher artistic quality than Avengers Endgame. I might sound extremely critical now, I actually loved Avengers Endgame, but it's nowhere close to the best I've seen. It just appeal to the masses and it's currently what people enjoy seeing. It's very "lavterskel"
