i like to think of history in the same vein as fantasy; people interested in it tend to be disconnected from the world and like pretending they're from another era; a form of escapism. I know that's why it appeals to me.

hmm, maybe. i tend to search things that i can immerse myself in. history is also like a good book, there's so much to learn and find and so many aspects to everything. and now that i think about it, it could be cool to do fantasy roleplaying if i just knew how to make outfits and props and had friends to do it with. like a full blown photoshoot session and everything.

omg I wanted to but I lost them all

I grew up with a mom who thought stuff like that was hoarding. I think I did manage to save one for awhile because I liked tracking down how it decayed and rotted; also for the memory of childhood. yet my mom threw em away; thought it was gross and stuff (even though she saved her kidney stones; wtf) really wish I kept them and could say u were right ):

yet saving baby teeth was tacky. I oddly miss them. when I was active on tumblr people would post their baby teeth and I wish I saved them like I wanted to.

i have a memory of i used to have a tiny metal box with something engraved on the lid. the inside was covered with red velvet and that's where my mom kept most of my teeths.. it was kinda strange, but fascinating to look at

now if i will have to have my wisdom teeths pulled out i'd like to keep them. perhaps put on in resin and make a necklace of it
