and i like the stories feature cuz you can post little snippets of nice moments, or sometimes i've posted kinda vent-y mental health-related stuff but in a more artsy/poetic/aesthetic form than what is the norm on other sites

Like i just think it's kinda silly to think instagram is this evil demon from social media hell only creating pressure to be perfect, i mean i get that that's what it's like for a lot of people but it's what you make it dude. if you follow people who only post perfected images of themselves of course it's gonna be like that. but if you follow people who encourage authenticity and openness and vulnerability and self-love then idk what's the harm?

may be a bit difficult if they're people you know irl though... i only follow / am followed by people i only know online or don't know at all

yeah I have a private account and I know everybody who follows me irl (school, family, friends) so I don't really think I could block anyone even though it would be the best and easiest solution
also in my school the people define themselves by the number of their followers and likes and i hate this very much : //

no one i follow posts stuff like that lol
it's like pictures of a morning coffee or their cats or random stuff that happened or thoughts they have as they're going about their day
