Yeah, I was reluctant at first too but then I reached a point where I couldnt go on without meds
Been on them for five years-ish now, and it has helped so much
Its different for every person of course, but its worth checking out if it spirals!

that sounds awful
at the time it was good but after those periods are over it becomes dark rly quickly
fortunately i started with meds so i've been stabilized since december!

i'm glad i "only" have bipolar 2
but the aftermath of a hypomanic episode can be horrible
and also
it goes without saying, really
but
the depressive episodes obviously rly suck as well
