it only shows how many people liked a certain photo. people that are insecure are going to find other ways t compare themselves anyways, if not with likes then with photos, comments etc..

if they were smart they would add an option for others who actually want it that way to disable them from viewing likes and not force everyone who uses the app to not be able to see likes

Yea but comparing yourself to others picture is honestly common no matter what, but removing likes is removing a big part of the insecurity and obsession. I really see it is a good move imo.

People can still like, but only the person who posted can see the total of likes. It's not like they are removing it all together just not making it visible. You can still see the likes on your end.

if some people get insecure over the amount of likes they get on an instagram post, i think they need to do a re-thinker.those insecure people shouldnt' have an affect on the ENTIRE ig app. if you get insecure about being on social media, you really sshouldnt be there. cant take the heat, dont be in the kitchen kinda deal

i am not a fan of the idea that for the sake of the minority, the majority gets to suffer
