genuine question but have you talked about this with someone irl and also, have you considered not hanging out when he's around ? maybe meeting up with your other friends in other moment . . . he is acting and saying weird shit and honestly, i would feel extremely uncomfortable in your situation

all of these instances, we were at my workplace (while i was off) which is the only late night bar in my less than 20k people town so we all just end up being in the same environment

i don't particularly want to be around him but it's kind of hard to avoid. he also lives in the same house (but seperate unit) as my best friend.

**oh also no i haven't spoken about it with anyone irl ig mainly cuz they all knew each other for quite a while and i'm the new person in town like i just got here 7 months ago. and people adore him so i think they wouldn't really understand where i'm coming from.

oh i see, that sucks v_v im not so sure what advice to give, given that you can't quite literally not stay away from him without having to literally limit most contact with everyone around you, which is not what should happen either way because having a social circle is important for every single person. i dont know if this could be a good advice, but maybe you and your boyfriend (saying this for your own protection, just in case) could talk to him about how his comments are making you feel, maybe he actually is just oblivious and ?actually changes for the better
