Connor couldn't get over how beautiful Gabbie was, he had known she was for a long time but getting to know her like this he felt himself growing to like her even more. She wasn't just a pretty girl, she was interesting and that was definitely important to him. "you are very welcome," he smiled, sipping from his bottle as he listened to her. "I must admit I don't know a lot about yourself or your family, you all keep to yourself quite a lot which I can respect. Family is very important." he took another sip from the bottle, looking over at his brother, "Personally I would be lost without my brother, " he nodded over to D, "we might have different goals in life but I still couldn't see myself without him."

Luna thanked him for the hotdog, but chose not to add any further condiments to it. She took a bite and let the question linger in her mind. "I suppose the best way to describe it is being the alphas bitch," she laughed lightly before making sure her grandma hadn't heard her be so disrespectful, "not really, mainly just being a protector and all of that lovely stuff." she said, taking another bite of her food. "I'm just not sure that becoming an Elder is really for me." she added, a little quieter than she had been speaking already. Her eyes wondered along D's tattoos, without really being able to help it. He was stood shirtless in front of her so it was partially his own fault.

gabbie tilted her head to the side, her eyes landing on his brother. how did such good genes run in their family? maybe it was the magic, they'd all been granted and gifted good looks. "I don't really get much say in it. mom likes us to keep shush, but she sure doesn't mind knowing anyone else's business, it's the only reason she's agreed to come along this afternoon." laughing quietly, she sat up a little more in her seat, unfolding her legs and crossing them the other way, resting her cup against her knee. "so what are your goals in life? or is that getting too deep?" she grinned.

D practically inhaled the hot dog and then went in for a burger, doing the same thing as he did for the hot dog, and suddenly he felt slightly sick from the speed he had eaten at. he ignored it though, rubbing his chest to get rid of the indigestion pains lingering in him. he went back over to where they had been sat, it was a quieter area and they could talk a little more freely. "so you mean if I became the alpha, and you became the elder, you'd basically be my bitch? that's hilarious." he teased, nudging her gently with his shoulder, he wiped the corners of his mouth, making sure there was no sauce lingering. "so what do you wanna do instead, huh? what war are you going off to fight in?"

Connor felt sorry for her, she was likely trapped to only talking to fellow angels which must get bland after a while, "I'm sorry, that must get really boring for you trapped in all the time," he paused, considering if this was perhaps too ambitious, "you are always welcome to drop me a text and we can chat, if you want to break the cycle a little. but only if you want." he said with a small laugh, taking a swig of beer. "oh we really are getting deep today," he laughed, "I suppose my main goal in life is to have my own family that I can take care of." he hesitated, "now don't laugh but honestly I can't wait to be a father, obviously not right now but I can't wait to have that kind of bond. What about yourself?"

Luna watched as he shovelled food down, assuming that werewolves must have a much larger appetite than the regular person. She finished her own and put the plate down before following him back to their spot and sitting herself back down. "in your dreams pretty boy," she said with a laugh, opening up her new beer and taking a swig of it. "I have no idea, I just know I want to be in control, not limited by rules that are forced upon me by others. Just.. free to do whatever the fuck I want." she shrugged a little before taking another swig of her drink. Her eyes wondering around the garden again, "what makes you think you'll even become the alpha?" she turned back to look at him, "have you won a lot of battles?"

Gabbie nodded her head, "god yes, I am so fed up of talking about whatever's on the agenda in heaven, it's just dead people and shunning people to hell. I'm really not interested. Maybe I'm a bad angel." She laughed quietly, taking another sip of her drink, she coukdnfeel her mothers eyes boaring into her but she chose to ignore it for now. Gabbie was allowed to make friends, there was no rules against that. "I'd like therm, actually. And you only live next door so maybe we can hang out our windows and I'll howl at you." She teased, pulling out her phone and taking his number. "That's so sweet.." her heart was melting at this point. "I.. I wanna be the highest form of angel there's is. There's god.. and then I want it to be me."

D laughed to himself, rubbing his stubbly jawline with his hand. "I am pretty, thank you for that." He clinked their beer glasses together before taking a long swig, God he needed it, it was definitely calming his nerves talking to the pretty lady in front of him. "So you want to start your own thing? Do it, go for it. I mean apart from being shunned by your family and disrespected forever, what have you got to Lose?" He asked, raising an eyebrow looking away for a second. "I'm already high up without having anyone by my side. All I need is a companion, and I have.." he counted on his fingers, ".. about three more family members to fend off, and then I'm there." He was proud, he was most likely one of the youngest to want alpha so badly. "I do win a lot, yeah. I have a big build as my human form so my wolf form is even larger."

Connor couldn't help but laugh, why was she so damn funny? All this time they had spent gazing at each other from afar and now as it turns out, they get on really well. "I'm sure you aren't as bad as you think," he smiled softly, adding his phone to her number and then letting her do the same on his. "a howl huh? now that I would love to see." he chuckled, putting his phone back into his pocket and taking a swig of his drink again. "That sounds like it's going to be a tough one but I bet you can achieve it. You seem up to the task, from what I know of you." he said, smiling at her. He noticed not far from them that her mother was scowling a little in his direction, "I assume your mother doesn't approve of you speaking to me?" he said, lowering his voice slightly.

Luna rolled her eyes a little, "you already know you are," she let their glasses clink against each other before taking another sip of the cool refreshing liquid. "I've been shunned by my family for years now, the fact my grandma hardly mentions me pretty much speaks for itself." she laughed lightly, lying herself down on the grass now and gazing up at the sky. "so really I have nothing to lose anymore," she finished before turning her head to look up at him as he spoke. "That's pretty impressive, is there a certain time that a new alpha is picked or what?" she said, genuinely curious at this point. She could imagine that his wolf form would be strong, his human form was incredible. He was easily the fittest male she had ever seen. The wizards and mages at her university were all rather lanky or dorky.

Gabbie smirked just a little. "I'd show you my howl now but I don't want to embarrass myself in front of the rest of your family, I don't think that would go down very well." Her fingers tapped against the cup gently as she looked around, taking everyone in, everyone seemed to be getting on and there was no drama which was always a relief. "My mom doesn't think I can do it.. she thinks my brother is gonna do it, because obviously men are inferior to women." She rolled her eyes, looking at her mother. "Talk of the devil.. yeah I don't think I'm really supposed to be talking to you. Wolves are bad." She teased, raising a single eyebrow at him.

D listened to her, he found her so interesting, the whole witch side of the community were so close knit and yet here she was, rebelling, and he kind of loved it. "You kind of remind me of me. I mean my family still like me so maybe not so much, but the independence, yeah I get that." He pushed his hair back, a few strands escaping and landing on his forehead. He stayed sat up, though her lying down gave him a good chance to let his eyes run along her body. She was gorgeous. "Basically the old alpha either dies or gives up the position. Once you've done everything you want to it gets kind of boring but.. I think I'm just a bit power hungry." He finished his beer off in record time.

Connor smirked back at her, "well you'll have to show me later on when theres less people about," this playful talk was really drawing him to her, even more than before. They had only been talking for what must have been a few hours but here he was with a crush already. "don't listen to her, women can do anything a man can do." he leaned forward in his seat a bit, lowering his voice again "if I am so bad you would have stopped talking to me a lot sooner," he let a smirk flash across his lips before sitting back, "plus we are very lovely creatures at the core."

Luna let this thought linger, perhaps they were similar. Their goals in their simplistic terms were nearly identical. "perhaps we are" she finally said, her eyes moving off of him and up into the sky to admire the formations the clouds were taking. "I see, so it's just a waiting game." she said simply, before sitting back upright to finish off her beer. Her eyes wondered around the garden, her grandma was sat with a group of young werewolves chatting away. "so what do you do for fun around here?" she said turning back to look at D.

Gabbie grinned. "And who said I was gonna be here that long! Maybe I have some other plans to please myself with." She laughed at him, but who was she kidding. She had to practically beg her mother to invite her along to this BBQ, there was no way she'd be allowed any other plans for at least another month. "Well yeah but she'd much rather me be a nice little stay at home wife to look after some jackass angel husband. What if I don't want a husband, huh, what if I want a wife?" She giggled, finishing her drink off, she wiped her top lip dry. "Maybe I just like the idea of the danger.." looking down at his heart began racing a little more.

D could see she was working it out in her head. "I think we're much more similar than you're willing to admit, Luna." He admitted to her, his eyes lingering on her legs before finally bringing himself back to her face. He had to behave himself, he couldn't be hopping from pillar to post if he wanted to show his true alpha self. He needed to keep a strong confident head on him and he needed a true companion, not some girl he simply liked the look of once upon a time. "Come with me." He said quietly, standing up from the grass he held his hand out to her. He was. Red now, he'd done is BBQ duty and now he needed some fun.

Connor chuckled, she was playing hard to get? that was fine with him as he enjoyed being flirty like this, "ah so I'll need to convince you with all the charm that I can muster so that you stay." he smiled at her before laughing lightly. "why don't you take it two steps further and have a non-angel wife? that would really change the pace." he chuckled, but deep down was hoping that she was actually interested in guys otherwise he had just been hit with a full steam train of rejection at the very first hurdle. "You know something Gabbie? I think you need a bit of danger in your life. Keeps you feeling alive."

Luna rolled her eyes a little, being compared to a wannabe alpha was not top on her priorities list but he also wasn't wrong, she just didn't want to admit it. She took his hand and let him help her up onto her feet. Dropping her beer bottle onto a pile of empties that had collected near the makeshift bar before following him to where it was they were going. Her gran looked round at her and flashed a smile, likely thinking she was being convinced to takeover her role but in actual fact she was just enjoying talking to a very handsome man. She didn't say much as she followed along side him, wiping some stray grass off of her skirt once more.

Gabbie pushed some of her flame orange hair from her face, tucking it behind her ear so it was no longer stuck to her. The sun was beaming and she was thriving in it but she had to admit her pale skin was beginning to siting just a little from the intensity. "Oh wow, I'd definitely get thrown into hell never to be seen again if I did that, I'd rather be a nun I think." She laughed quietly standing up from her seat she took his bottle from him. "Hmm I don't think I can agree with you there, danger is no good for angels. That's why I have to kept myself away from boys like you." She said a little quieter, her hips swaying as she walked off back to the makeshift bar. She needed to just have a little moment to compose herself.

D could see the listed fof look that Luna was giving him but all it did was egg him on more and encourage him, he liked playing on the edge and this was pushing it. He pulled she up with his hand and then headed down the side gate from the garden and to the front of the house, making sure he was out of sight before pulling a cigarette out of his pocket and lighting it up, passing one to her. "I don't know about you but all that bullshit niceness just isn't my cup of tea. I think we can have some fun of our own." He took a long drag and exhaled through his nose, closing his eyes to enjoy it just a little more. "Come on, follow me." He slung his arm loosely around her shoulders and began to walk along with her. They wouldn't be missed for a while.

Connor watched as she moved her hair from her face, she was just so mesmerising it was ridiculous. "would that be so bad if you were just following your heart?" he raised a brow slightly, "no offence but it sounds like being an angel is hell in itself with all these restrictions." he watched as she stood up, trying not to admire her figure as he didn't want to offend her at all or be caught doing so by her mother who was not far from them. "Maybe boys like me are exactly what you are missing from your life," he said quietly, watching as she walked off and pulling his gaze away from her. Instead he looked around the garden, noting his brother had vanished and he just shook his head a bit.

Luna followed him out of the garden and along the street, she smirked a little at what he took out of his pocket. "I've never enjoyed forced formalities and gatherings like that, definitely not my scene." she said before taking one and placing it against her lips. As they walked down the street she was momentarily surprised when his arm went over her shoulder but she wasn't about to argue. It felt nice to be in someones company like this and he wasn't exactly unattractive. "hopefully no one misses our company too much, not like we were really socialising with anyone else beforehand anyway." she said with a laugh.

Gabbie could feels his eyes on her as she walked away and it was the exact reaction she was after. It felt good to have some attention and talking to someone she definitely shouldn't have been mingling with, it made it all that bit more exciting. However her mother was soon by her side and gabbie hesitated before putting the vodka bottle back down and just sticking to boring old cola. "Gabriella what have I told you about talking to boys.. to them. I think it's time you went home.." she muttered, her hand on her daughters shoulded, squeezing just a little too hard. Gabbie frowned and pushed her off. "Mom I'm just talking.. the same as you. When you go home I'll go home." She rolled her eyes and went and sat back down with him, a little flustered now.

D took another long drag as he walked along with her, it felt good to be out of the spotlight with his family, while they were all very close and tight, the pressure he felt from them to be the est was a lot to handle sometimes. "It gets a little overbearing, doesn't it? From the age of sixteen they've shoved me into the streamline and I just can't stand it now, I just wanna do my own thing." He walked through the town and down to the local park, and then down a small alley, to an underground room, which was a mini skate park, which was hidden to people if they didn't know it was actually there. "Welcome. This is what I like to do." He grabbed a board off the wall and twisted the end of his spliff to put it out, sticking it behind his ear before jumping on the board and speeding off down a ramp.

Connor and his incredible wolf hearing picked up every word Gabbie and her mother said, a small smirk across his lips. So he was indeed forbidden to Gabbie, that made this all the more interesting. When she came back over he thanked her for the drink, "I hope you weren't getting too much hassle," he said with a smile, sipping his fresh beer and relaxing into his chair. His eyes wondering over her face, she was so beautiful it was unfair for her to be living such a restricted life. "tell me something about you, your interests?"

"Definitely, especially when they weigh you down with so many expectations," Luna agreed, taking several drags as they walked through streets that were vaguely familiar but had changed since she was last here. As they entered his little skate park she smiled, actually impressed with his hide away spot. "damn, didn't take you for a skater boy." she said watching as he set off on his board. She ran to the top of one of the highest ramps and sat herself on the edge, letting her legs dangle down. As she watched him show off she felt the urge to be playful and with a small twist of her hand she made the board jerk in the wrong direction that where he wanted it to go, causing him to tumble to the ground which made her laugh.

Gabbie was in a little bit of a worse mood now, her mother always knew how to drag her down but gabbie wasn't about to let that ruin her evening. Shaking off the feeling, she sipped from her cup, but it was a little more boring now, with no alcohol in it. How was she supposed to enjoy herself without alcohol? "Hmm, nothing I can't handle, a few of my beautiful white feathers might have just fallen off my wings thouh, I've been given major bad points for talking to you." She just couldn't not talk to him, she was attracted to him and being told she couldn't, made it worse. "Me? I'm boring, I don't get to do a lot. I do enjoy music though. And tattoos. Tattoos intrigue me. I'm not allowed to taint my skin with them."

D felt a little nervous, showing off his secret chill out to her, but he just felt she'd understand him, and well she didn't really know the area any more so she didn't have a soul to tell. "It's a good way to burn off pent up energy, or to just scream and shout and swear and no one will hear a thing. A good place to kidnap someone." He teased, going s little mad on the ramps until he was suddenly thrown off balance and landed on his face, groaning quietly. He rolled onto his back, his hands over his face. Damn she was a meanie. How amazing. "Come on then, your turn to give it a go." He grabbed the board and ran up the ramp, grabbing the top of it ninja warrior style and pulling himself up to sit next to her, resting the board in her lap. Lighting his spliff back up to resume chilled out mode.

Connor chuckled when she mentioned being given some bad points for having talked to him, "yet here you are talking to me once more, must be wroth a few bad points at least." He took a swig of his beer as he listened to her talking about her interests, "tattoos huh? I have a few myself. They are a big part of our way of life." He couldn't help himself gaze along her perfect skin, and imagine how it would look with delicate and intricate tattoos. Quickly he pulled himself out of his imagination, "do you draw any yourself? tattoos I mean. " he was genuinely curious and wanted to know more about her.

Luna finished her own cigarette and stubbed it out beside her, tossing it away and making it vanish into thin air before hitting the ground. "I do hope you haven't tried to kidnap me D, that would be tragic on your end." she chuckled, a smirk across her lips until he handed her the skateboard. "I haven't got a clue how to skateboard, I'll be honest." but she took the board from him anyway, analysing it before letting herself slide down the ramp on her butt and standing up on the ground, sorting her skirt quickly but knowing he probably saw more than he bargained for. She set the board down and frowned a little, standing on it and getting herself going enough so she could at least travel on flat ground.
