i don't think it's fair to compare the racist and homophobic views on the countryside to whatever close minded scenarios going on in the city.
you are a perfect example of the problem im showcasing.
how am i close minded tho. i agree that the problem goes both ways. i don't know where you're from but at least in sweden there are proof that ppl on the country side face more racism

If you don't want to live in a city you gotta deal with the consequences of not living in a city, and it's mostly down to money in my eyes, everyone would be living on the best side of town if they could, there's no need to lie, everyone wants a better life for themselves because that's how you survive in this world
what consequenses? we don't live in the woods like animals
There's less opportunities in a rural area than in the city, that's a consequence
there are cars
and buses
that goes to the city

the centralization thats going on in the world is a scary thing, we should get people to move into rural areas, get more people into farming and fishing before this world ends up like some kinda dystopian hell

also fuck wherever y'all from  , u have to admit that racism is usually stronger on the country side. again, i'm talking as someone who lived on the country for years, not a complete city person lols

It's still limited, not everyone wants that traveling lifestyle and even then, people who are from rural areas are looked down upon from simply being from a rural area and that's a fact

there are plenty racist/homophobic/sexist/(especially) classist etc very wealthy people living in big cities. i don't know why there would be a correlation between poverty and discrimination. i would argue poor people tend to be more accepting in some ways

it's not like living in the city only has upsides
and even in the city it's not like you can walk everywhere and avoid the buses etc

I agree, from what I've seen, a lot of city people are afraid of refugees because they don't want their "nice areas" to become like a ghetto

again, idk where you guys are from but in sweden there are HUUUUGE differences between smaller cities and bigger ones. maybe that's why only paramore n i can relate lols.
like for example, the racist party SD got  40% of the votes in the tiny town i lived in before, while they only got like 10% where i live now. this is how it's like in sweden. If you said that 'poor people are more accepting' to me like 10 years ago, i would've agreed. i, atleast, don't think that's the case now tbh

umm yes? the only reason you can live the way you live is because of those poor underpaid bastards who work in factories, you cant possibly want that to continue

yeah, you're right, it's true not everyone who live in villages are poor. i'm thinking more about the area where i was born. it definitely may be different in different countries
