i guess the good thing is that i can go wherever the fuck i want without it having anything to say, i could move to a even more deserted island. jump in front of a train. i could even go to a city become a homeless drug addict and sell one of those oslo magasin thingies.

actually i blame the school for giving me false hope, i already knew what the relief felt like and now i cant let that feeling go. if they didnt tell me that i could go to school in the first place my mind wouldnt be so hell bent on it

You should complain. In the first place you have a legal right to participate in school. I don’t know how old you are, but I figured you live in Norway, which means they are obligated to give you a shot. If you were promised a meeting since you applied too late, you have a right to that meeting before that decide! I REALLY recommend you complain! You haven’t been treated right by the system in my eyes, even tho u applied too late.

AND don’t give up! NAV is shit indeed, but it might be a gateway to something better and more rewarding as long as you show interest and enthusiasm. And I guess you also could ask them to help you find a job you would thrive in?

as i stated earlier the municipality where i live has already been in contact with the school, so i trust that they've done what they could, and still gotten a no. so there is nothing i can do sadly. and i think i lost my rights when i didnt apply in time. from what ive been told your rights dont apply when the school has already started, as they dont get the resources they need or something dumb like that.

no, you lose your right to vgs when you have attended three yrs already. so if you have been in school for three years, and decide to start over, youll be at the bottom of the waiting list
but since you havent attended three yrs already, u still have a right to vgs. b u t what u dont have is the right to go to the closest school

True. And it might be the case that you lost your right since you didn’t apply within the deadline ofc, idk cause I personally have never applied after the deadline. At least you have the youth right which gives you right to attend A vgs school for three years until you are 24 years old. I see how this might be problematic for you when there is only ONE school in your imidiate area. Work for a year, and apply within the deadline next fall and you might have a bigger chance at getting into the school you want. ^^

and also lmao when you live on an island with a 5 hour correspondence with the ferry to the main land its kinda important to get into the "local" school because the local school is the only school that is available
