When I do it I usually cut them into thin slices, dip them in "sukkerlake" (sirup seems like the wrong word to use here) take some paper and dry them a little so it isn't so messy on the bakingpaper.  before taking them in the oven on 50 degrees  for two hours, before i take them out, flip them and let them be in the oven for two more hours.
