FT: abandoned places

No, but there is a nearby abandoned subway project/tunnels that I haven't been to. Not sure I want to, either... I've seen some pictures with graffiti though, which is a weakness of mine...

I have been to Theresienstadt, an old concentration camp from WW 2 and 33,000 people, most of them were  jewish, died there mostly from malnutrition and disease.

I can't decribe the feeling I got standing there looking at the bunkbeds they were sleeping in, seeing the bullit holes in the walls and the art/drawings made by childeren who have been there.

It is still the way it was many years ago, the only thing 'missing' is the people, it was scary, fascinating, awfull and it made me want to cry thinking about what happend there.

If you want to read more about this place you can do that here.

I mean why would anybody not want to? I mean unless it's dangerous, like if there's a real risk it's gonna come down on you or something like that and you'll be crushed to death. I wouldn't want that either.

I have only visited hospitals and gone to the underground in one of the hospitals.I felt some kind of energy down in the underground so there were all the ghosts.

Dale mental hospital is located in Norway - Stavanger/Sandnes and were up running in 1913 and they could house 193 patients. They did do lobotomi and other crazy treatments. But later on Dale became a farm I think. And I have heard that the patients actually liked being there bc they could be with the animals and go "free" outside bc it was far from everyone else!  It was closed for good in 2001!!

From google:
In the 1930s, shock therapy was introduced, and from 1942 electroshock was used in therapy. The first patient was lobotomized in 1953; two years later, sedatives began to be used. In 1973, the hospital had its highest number of patients; 583 people were admitted. In 1975, the hospital received a welfare building with gymnasium, swimming pool and cafeteria. In the 1980s, psychologists arrived, and the place was no longer to be a storage facility, but an institution that worked to get patients so healthy that they could be discharged from the hospital.

Yea you could jump in a window or something but the municipality (Kommune) decided to take "boards" in every window, so I don't know how easy it is now

i absolutely love stuff like that. Ive been into old abandoned buildings ever since i was a lil kid and me and the other kids in the neighborhood used to explore an old abandoned little house that was close to our school. We couldnt enter it and go inside but we would always look into the windows and i remember how cool and beautiful i thought it looked in there cuz there was all this rly old furniture there still. The neighborhood kids would always spread around these lil ghost stories and urban legends about the old houses where we lived and it was honestly so fun and fascinating.
The biggest one was about one house that u would always walk by on ur way to and from school that was very run down and old and nobody had lived there for like maany years and there was this old urban legend about its backstory that had been passed around thru the neighborhood kids in generations that there were human skeletons/remains burried in the backyard and thats why it was empty cuz nobody wanted to live in a house with corpses in the backyard.

It was most likely just a myth tho lol its not even abandoned anymore cuz this lesbian couple bought it and fixed it up and painted it and made it look like a regular cute house again and they been living there for like 7 years now so rip the spooky skeleton house story

there was also an abandoned old farmhouse (or more like slaughterhouse) that all the kids were super spooked of cuz it was rly creepy looking and everyone said it was haunted cuz there were this story that the old farmers/slaughterers ghost would butcher the cows around the area lol
