Why did you decide to go backpacking, and are you alone?
I graduated. Thought it was a fun idea. I don't really know why. I didn't really do it for the purpose of finding myself or to explore different cultures. It just kinda happened for the sake of fun I think. Do something else from sitting at a bench all day and be stuck in my hometown. Maybe I did it because of that reason, that I didn't want to get stuck as I know that a lot of people do. So maybe I did it to explore different cultures and meet new people from all over the world after all. I mean I have met people from all over the world and it has affected me and I have changes a lot (!!!) since I left home because of that reason.
I see. You don't always need to have a reason for everything, it's nice to just do something for the sake of doing it I guess.

How are you finding it so far? How long are you going to continue to backpack? And what are some lessons you have learned from your travels? I think this is so interesting to hear about, and if you have time to write, and don't mind it, I would love to hear everything about your experiences!

What kind of housing do you live in, and have you been there all the time or do you move around after a while?

It's... A get to know yourself experience. Because all the time you have to push yourself out of your comfort zone. Some examples it that:
I have skydived from 15.000ft (4.5km).
When I was staying in hostels I had to talk to new people every day.
I had to take phone calls if someone called me (it could be one of the jobs that I have applied for)
I had to go to travel agencies and take my own decisions and prioritize what I want to see and do
Take care of yourself, both food and accommodation. (where do I live tomorrow? How is the hostel that I booked some nights ago in a town 2h away with an airplane that I never been to before?)
And to speak English every day. That was so weird in the beginning.

I'm going home in June/July depending on when my farm work is done.

I came here with a friend and we did a bartender course in Sydney for one month. But he left me after two weeks of ”traveling”. He left on so bad terms. We are not friends today. So a Norwegian girl from the course texted me. So I ended up traveling with her and an Irish girl for two weeks. Then it was just me and the Norwegian girl for some more weeks until she went home and I began to work.
So instead of buying a car and doing this amazing road trip with my friend, I ended up partying for a whole month and eating out all the time. So I gained like 10kg and became broke af.
Basically my three months summed up really quickly.

Edit: also about challenging myself. I was soo scared of flying. Didn't really have a choice here though. But dear God its so much better than when I first flew to Australia! Even though it's a challenge sitting down on that airplane I can't even describe the differences in my whole body.

Right now I live in a shared apartment. Don't wanna post pictures here bc it's really weird o.O
I started in Sydney and was there for 6w and then took a plane to Brisbane for 2 nights. From Brisbane by plane to Airlie beach and was there for about 1,5w. Then we took a bus up to Cairns and was there for 5 nights. Then a bus down to Townsville and then the ferry over to Magnetic Island. Spent three nights there and then went back to Airlie bc I was soooooo broke. I had 100 and left on my acc so I could only afford to go down here. Thankfully I found a job really quick and love it as well <3

but was the money amount limited to what you could have when you started travel or were you free to have as much money you wanted to as long as you had the money on your account? (Idk i feel this question was difficult to form. Did you understand the question lol?)

Oh wow, what an experience! And I'd bet the things you've learned, and will learn the next few months, are lessons you're gonna take with you for the rest of your life. I'm just so amazed by people who does this, cause I know that even if I wanted to I'd never be able to do it myself.

That sucks, but it's nice that you were able to travel with someone else for a few weeks tho.
Haha ouf! How did you even manage to party for a whole month straight? I would have been dead

That's great! But I don't understand how you were able to skydive if you're scared of flying... Like creds to you for doing that

According to the Australian government's site, you have to have at least 4000aud entering the country on a working holiday visa. You can have more or less than that but if they stop you and do a check when you go into the country and you don't have the money they have the right to send you home again. So you have to have at least $4000 on your acc when you are entering the country. I know people who have entered with $10.000. So it's up to you how much money you want to bring

That's so funny that you write that because it's exactly what I thought as well! I really thought that I never could go traveling by myself, but now after traveling with others for so long I actually prefer to travel alone. Then you don't have to rel. So much on anyone else. You can just do whatever you want.

I was dead in the end. I think that I was affected by grown-up beverages every night for one month straight. Idk how I managed to do it. It was literally every night. Remember that I ran to the bus with my backpack still badly affected from the night before and when I sat down. I realized that it was still going on. lol. Thank God that we sat in the front of the bus that time!

Yolo. That's all I have to say. I died before. Died while sitting in the plane and jumping out I was so God dear Jesus scared that thank all the gods that that parachute opened!
