Others: -Benjamin partly lost his hearing from the disaster.
              -All the experiments that has been done on him has completely distorted his image of people. He thinks the worst about people and thinks everything that is said is serious.
              -He gets panic attacks quite easily now. All the experiments have scared him to the verge of almost not being able to do anything without panicking.

The world:
14 years ago something really bad happened: nuclear war. The war was short and wiped out most life on Earth. However humans across the world survived. What followed was a world in disaster, the human that was left was exposted to radiation and could barely get by with the small amout of resources they had.

Despite everything the humans survived. And today they live in small societys close together, so that they can help each other and survive together. The nature outside of these small socieities is mostly wasteland. No one can survive here for long. With both radioactivity, dangerous animals and weird nature. With everything from desert and deserted towns to weird jungels that has grown out of nowhere.
