the final was decided before it even had taken place, because of the juries overwhelming support of loreen, which was predictable, but to this degree? thats actually upsetting. käärijä got one of the best televoting results ever, but it was just never gonna be enough because loreen had such a massive lead already
to top it of sweden didnt recieve one single top score in televoting, they did extremely well, but they were literally no ones favourite. this has become a regular occurence with sweden at this point and im so sick of it. no hate or hard feelings towards sweden as a country obviously, but they send the same generic, manufactured and soulless pop song every year and the juries just faints at the sight of them and hands them all the points. its honestly kinda strange, and to the point where you actually start wondering, 'if sweden had sent this act, how much better would it have done'. 

the jury voting was very out of touch in general, which would be much easier to swallow if they seemed to favour quality of music and performance but ? by which criteria are they operating if acts like australia, belgium and estonia made their top ten and germany, norway, moldova etc their bottom ten, very confusing
but enough abt the juries or im gonan get frown lines, im so sorry käärijä and finland this was your year and its you were going to remember

anyway, my favourites were finland, moldova, slovenia, switzerland, italy, cyprus, germany and serbia i think.
i was so impressed w germany, i thought it was decent before the final but damn it was good live, and by far one of the most memorable performances. i cant believe they ended up last AGAIN.
serbia was also such a surprise, it was always cool but up until this point i thought it was awful live, but on the night it was actually really cool and i wish they had placed higher. 
moldova was awesome, slovenia was so fun and cyprus and switzerland are just very pretty i lov them and im ugly eyeing europe as a whole for not appreciating them more

i thought i was gonna like france, spain and israel but france just had me laughing honestly im sorry but the pole going up and down like and suddenly lighting up was so chaotic and weird. spain idk, she did really well but among all the other entries it just became noise and israel was just very hard to connect with, so much was happening and all i caught was unicorn unicorn which is nonsensical to me

but the most shocking event of the night was still greece cheating on cyprus on live television
(also, finnish televoters being the only ones collectively just not voting for sweden at all, did yall sign a pact or smn im giggling)
