that's true! luxembourg should return smh
but in regards to ukraine we have no way of knowing how things are going to look even tomorrow or next week, so speculations on two months and a whole year from now is useless. if they should win, im sure they would come to a good solution.
honestly, Luxembourg doesn't want to
we don't have the means to host and thus it's decided that participating isn't financially worth it
but I mean, how big are the chances of continuing our streak of awesomeness? we haven't participated in 30 years and are still in the top ranking list when it comes to overall wins

I definitely hope that if they win, they'll be able to find a solution that is the best for the country in general, because something trivial and stupid as esc shouldn't ruin someone's economy or broadcasting service, so really hoping for the best
i mean.. fair enough cx
yea don't you have like 4 wins or smn?? wild

im sure they will, no one is going to expect them to host and i doubt they would prioritise it
yeah :d I mean, look at this statistics (it's from the official website for the german esc)

It's the placement for the most successful based on how often they placed on what position
and again, we haven't participated in 30 years and are still number 6

Oh hmm, i listened mostly to the first part so not sure. They did address that it's unavoidable not to put some politics into eurovision and the ukraine right now are on top on the top and might have a chance to win.. Pity votes or not.

I'm telling you, we were just so fucking lucky because back in the time you had to particiapte in your official country language and we had 3 to chose from :d chosing french was a big win because french, belgian and swiss juries would understand the true meaning of the lyrics and didn't have to rely on good translations
(french truly was the most powerful language during esc, kind of makes sense now why france is so adamant at keeping their performances in French and it's something I really enjoy about French entries, despite it always costing them sooooo many points)

yeah, not wrong
because like I said, politics being a under the table part of esc is kind of part of the esc culture despite the rules stating it to be completely apolitical

Yea pretty much. I think they were the translateres from previous years (can't remember what they are called)? Because they were in Kiev at one point for eurovision and so he got emotional talking about it.

Also yea i can't even answer what that was... martin brygman have always been kinda weird imo, so i guess that was not out of character for him lmao!

I think it was also a comedy number with the danish in between? like I couldn't understand it, but the people were laughing and it had the "i just did a funny" intonation
