well i do listen to many different languages but i just have never quite liked how sami sounds like sometimes i see sami news on tv and i'm like what is this language xD

also i had no clue what sami meant until a few years ago XD like i knew it was saame in finnish so i didn't connect the sami word to it i was just wondering why is there my dad's name in the language selection (my dad's name is Sami)

I mean, Samic languages are quite tightly related to the Finnic one so there are cognates and similarities in the pattern which might result in it being a bit ???, whereas I who don't speak any Uralic language (yet) sit like ?? idk it's not indo-european. It also makes me go like .. the betrayal of my dad refusing to teach me Finnish as a child.
