STATUS: MOVIE IS FOUND - "THE VILLAGE"
All I know:
• I initially thought the producer of the film was Wes Anderson because of the feel, but turns out it's not (or at least not that I could find)• The movie revolves around a close community living away from the rest of the civilization, basically like a cult
• The main character(s) are this one young girl and a young boy whom she falls in love with
• There's a lot of superstition within the community, involving some type of mystical beasts -which in the end turns out to be fake and made-up

My ex showed me this movie (right after we broke up), and I think he kinda got mad about the girl reminding him of me and the boy reminding him of a common friend of ours lmao -especially considering he is a movie-freak and had specifically picked out this movie because of the producer and possibly high score on IMDb -I would've otherwise never had seen this movie, but I have to say it's one of the best movies I've ever seen- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
