What are you thinking so far?
I watched the first 2 episodes and there are moments that feel like the old scrubs but then there are some moments and characters that just remind me of a mid sitcom from the 2010s
I’m really enjoying it but it may be because I haven’t watched of scrubs in aaaageeees
i espec like how they kinda keep the shitty 2000s non pc humor in a sense by sort of poking fun at themselves for how it used to be? I think it’s a smart way to capture the same vibe
listened to sawbones podcast where sydnee McElroy briefly talked about how it sort of has lost some of its moral that doctors should do everything they can to save someone by having JD becomin the person who have to take the tough decisions n I think I agree with that
like obvi not gonna be as good as oh scrubs but also like, neither was the final season (seasons?) , but for what it is I’m having fun watching it and the first episodes had me laughing out loud a lot
Oh yeah the updated but still the same type of humor is one of the things I really like.
Idk who that person or that podcast is, will I understand the episode if I'm not familiar with the rest of their work?
Everyone just keeps ignoring the last season (the hospital magically appeared again after being torn down) but hoestly I didn't hate it but it definitely didn't feel like the classic scrubs formula either.
Maybe some of the supporting characters will find their footing in the other episodes I haven't watched yet.
So far some of the supporting characters feel pretty flat and generic to me. Maybe they pale a bit in comparison because scrubs had a ton of really incredible supporting characters and guest characters (the janitor, laverne, ted, jordan, doug).
The podcast is sawbones but it was a one off episode about tanking medical tv shows normally it’s about medical history,,, I think she did a more in-depth review on her other podcast but I don’t listen to that…. The point is mainly that she’s a doctor in the us so it’s fun to hear her takes on us medical shows
