Pastel outfits usually work better when they are somewhat simple. Or not simple but... like... not cluttered?
It's okay to have a lot of stuff if they really go well ofc. So don't take it as a rule or anything. 

But.... since you want that easy light feel of the pastel colors to come through. It's not supposed to be a explosion of colors. 

Tho that's just my opinion ! Maybe the judges like it cluttered :3  I dunnu.
