You're supposed to represent greed, the desire to have and to have more and more! You're not satisfied with the basic and simplest things in life because you want more, and that want makes you blind towards what's really important in life (wellbeing, those around us, being grateful and being happy with what we have, everything vital in life) and leaves you continually dissatisfied because you never feel you have enough. 

You can say that you 'lose yourself' in your greed.
