the thing was that only 2 other had their look ready so that gave me an automatic win,, n then it happened once again

Agreed. I wonder why people aren't participating as much. 
i would bet that due to less users being on, summer is to blame for everything being slow and dead
people are outside and enjoying life as to during the winter, people tend to stay in mnjbhvg

other than removing the 'only allowed to be on one hof list' rule, I don't know how what changes could be done to encourage more people to play FC. The game's popularity has varied a lot for the years i've been here at least

That makes sense, although I don't remember it ever being this slow. Then again, I used to be a lot busier in the summer.
