Wow I had no idea that a Canadian holiday existed where you celebrate one of Britain's Queens. Is there a particular reason it is Queen Victoria?
Not to be disrespectful, but I found it a bit random and funny when I first read Canadians celebrating the British Queen lol.
Is it too late to submit an entry?
Well, Canada was mostly ruled under Britain and France when they first were colonizing here. So, generally, they paid tribute to their holidays back home and we adopted them.
Now, Canada is independent but we still pay homage to the Queen since she's now just... a symbol. We have many British queens on our money but she doesn't do anything. She's just... for show. lol.
