In thepodcast I was asked to reflect on, the theme was the complexity of memories. The
podcast covered a case study of amnesia where the man could remember his lover’s
embrace, but not her face, creating false memories, removing memories, and other
questionable aspects of memory. The podcast discusses a handful of experiences with
lab rats and reflects the findings of these studies back to the human memory. Additionally,
memories were related to proteins; no proteins, no memories. This explains the logic
behind the old saying, “I have the memory of a goldfish,” as goldfish lack the proteins
to obtain long-term memory.
progress. oh man. now i have to actually ~reflect~~~
