nah  I know where you're coming from. I felt like that for ages here. I always had acquaintances but I never felt like I was really close with anyone.
For me personally, the ET events really helped me to get closer to people. Through helping others in forums/waiting for codes/playing Town of Salem etc. - it all got me talking more to people. It also helped to build my confidence to talk to other people regularly. 

I still don't know how much I'd be missed if I left but I have closer friends here, which is really great <3 I sorta went from only having a couple of good friends here to having a bunch overnight haha

Do you have problems with trusting new players who are really friendly?
I feel that the more wealthy players can be a bit cautious around the average player.
I know people are often friendly in the hopes of getting benefits, but it sucks for people actually looking to make friends
