They planned, and planned. The plan was going to work, it was perfectly made that not even the hero itself could go against it. They planned how they would be in the woods, they also planned how a big hole would appear near her.
Since they're villains, they need superpowers. And where do you get them? From the crazy lady across the street that gives children blood? Of course it's her! And now there's no turning back for the hero, because do you want to know what happens? She falls. She falls into the hole where, a pumpkin (she's allergic to those, fun fact), is placed and in a way or another, her head is trapped. She had her knife, and since she was walking alone she had her stuffed unicorn with her.
This wasn't the end, though. The villains weren't done, and so they lifted her up with rope and placed her in the back of a horse carriage. The thing is, to their luck, when you're allergic to something .. you basically sleep in. And since it's a strange town, nobody thinks about it that much. But this is basically why it happens.
The cells in your body that protect you, immediately senses the smell of whatever you're getting, and doesn't want you to feel the pain while the whole body works on it - you sleep in. They haven't come that far, the scientists, but the people in the town don't really care anyway.
The hero, as I mentioned, was still asleep when they came to the fireplace. This place is known for "Burning Heroes", and the title basically says what it happens. They burn heroes.
So they placed her on a rope, a strong grip on her feet, and her hands and her stomach. So, to clarify it all, she was standing up side down.
The fire was rising, and people were shouting. But before all the fire ate up her flesh, the civilians got quiet by only one look at the hero.
Her eyes were turned to red as laser.
