yeees!! also, there's nothing wrong with using a palette you're familiar with, you don't need to push yourself to do something different. you should do what you're comfortable with, whether that's using a familiar or different than usual palette!

true, and i guess my first entry was quite outside my usual comfort zone (bright, intense colours instead of muted pastels) 
i just feel like compared to a lot of designers my style preference is a bit boring somehow (but then again i design the kind of items i want to wear so i guess that's just my style lol)
