I'm wearing an outfit designed by the talented Rei Kawakubo. She's a big camp icon and has always wanted to break gender norms and stereotypes with her designs. Her designs are over-the-top, and she likes it big with oversized proportions, which is what she has done with this look. I'd say this look is samurai inspired but very "extra" and exaggerated, which is what I really love about Kawakubos designs!

I think the theme this year is fantastic. I've always wanted to wear something unique and extravagant like this and I feel so powerful! This is a once in a lifetime experience and I'm glad I get to wear some extra extravaganza for the first but hopefully not last time in my life. This theme gives us the opportunity to go crazy and wear something no one has ever seen before!

This time Vega made a flower goddes, taking a bit inspiration from hinduism. She also wants to show off the beauty of plain flowers. The designer chose the color pink to show of my own natural beauty.

This outfit is about being extra with small things. Quality over quantity.

I designed my entire look. I find originality to be the most gorgeous feature of all.

My outfit is loosely inspired by Jared Leto in Gucci (pictured down below). I just fell in love with the red and silver details.
His black hair beautifully accentuates his look.

I fell in love with the theme the second I discovered it. I simply adore everything that's a little extra.

Camp. Extra. Extravaganza. Words that describe a twisted and unique concept exposed to the world to create high fashion. A brilliant theme for those who like 'gimicy' looks that feel like they belong in an episode of RuPauls drag race. Any theme would work, but this feels more artistic.

Who made your beautiful outfit? 
An outfit like this was created by multiple talented designers on VP, generously supplied by our very own host Libertas. The ensemble came to be through the stacking of many different 'hats' to create a one of a kind head dress.  The mix/match of cuts, materials and layers is a touch of my own flare to create an avant-garde look inspired by previous Met Gala looks.

What’s the inspiration behind the look? 
From a glance you can see the religious aspects of the looks, the Mitre shining of gold and white on top of the head in a shroud of flowers, a holy cross sighted on the tippet around the shoulder. This correlated to Rhiannas 2019 Met Gala look (below), a high fashioned pope covered in glitz and fierceness. My visit to Rome in January of this year has allowed me to explore the fine art that it had to offer. The use of white, gold and flowers brought this idea to life. I have been using somewhat religious imagery throughout my VP experience, one such look I brought to life for Maxwell - a rapturous angel (also shown below).
