My entry:

Gluttony wants a house

Seven deadly sins, out of them all, one of them was Gluttony. One day it decided to find itself a permanent host. Finding a house, which in this case meant a human body, to live the rest of your life was a taboo among the sins. You're supposed to roam eternity between sin realm and earth and live by using the humans who are expressing the sin assigned to you. When gaining a certain amount of the sin energy, you'd have to return to your own realm and use some of the collected energy to power up your own world. Living in a single human would be harmful for the realm of sins and also the human world.

Gluttony however, it was done with its original home. It wanted to experience something new, and it also wanted a place to rest. No one exactly knew, besides the leaders of sin realm, what would happen when a permanent host dies, because unlike the sins, humans are mortal. It was rumored that the sin would die among the host, but some theorize the sin could potentially get stuck on the human realm, being stuck inside the corpse until they'd die from starvation. To explain a bit better, the sins can die, not to old age since they are immortal, but they can die from an accident in their world, exorcists in human world, starvation.. Basically from anything that is not old age. Gluttony was prepared to take the risk even when it knew the risks.

And so Gluttony came up with a plan. While it was doing the normal stroll of sin energy collecting with a partner, it would distract its buddy, use a clever excuse and sneek in some fast food place. In there it would search for the best possible target. Gluttony would not just slip in anyone, this time it would just try to spot a good host and return to work like nothing happened. Gluttony wasn't the smartest sin, so it didn't think of a plan B.

On the day Gluttony decided to set for the plan, it did exactly how it planned. The fast food place had all kinds of people in it. There were parents with their kids, teens with their friends, couples, elderly people, loners and of course the staff. Gluttony did indeed find a possible host for itself. It was a young man with his friends ordering 10 cheeseburgers. After getting the burgers, the young man decided to eat most of them by himself, even while his friends were trying to hint that they weren't pleased with his gluttony.

Now then, our Gluttony's plan was to just find a target this time, but it couldn't resist. It just flew straight next to the man's soul and embraced it. The man coughed up a bit and started saying he didn't feel so good. His friends just blamed it on all the burgers he just didn't share. The group shrugged it off as the young man's weird feeling returned to normal and they decided to head back home. Meanwhile, Gluttony's colleague started to get worried.

Gluttony was having a time of its life. Besides being full all the time from this man's actions, it also got to eat the delicious soul energy that was like the gourmet food for creatues like it. Slowly, it noticed it could control its host more and more. It was able to see his thoughts. They were becoming one being. They started sharing thought process, ability to move and finally the life itself. Gluttony wasn't gluttony anymore and the young man wasn't the young man anymore. They had become something entirely new.

One night, the fusion between a sin and a human woke up from their bed covered in sweets and various snacks. They stared at the ceiling, seeing a face. The face was one of the leaders from the sin realm. It slowly shook its head looking disappointed. However, since this life was something that hadn't exist before, it didn't recognize the leader anymore. It came down from the ceiling and sat on the chest of the thing. It drew a marking to the absurd lifeforms' forehead. It started screaming in agony and vaporized to the air. The leader stared at the spot and quietly whimpered:
"I expected a lot from you Gluttony but not this. There is a reason why this is a taboo."

Then it returned back to the sin realm.

On screen, bullets flew and heads rolled. In game, she was a master at shooting her enemies, racking up more and more points. Checkpoint after checkpoint, level after level, she had to get more points.
“Cinthia!” her mother called from down the hall. “We’re going to be late!”
She pressed the buttons harder and faster. She was so close to leveling up. Her eyes were bloodshot from lack of sleep, and there were food wrappers scattered carelessly around her.
“Cinthia!” the voice echoed, but the request didn’t reach the recipient’s ears. Instead, repetitive game music looped in Cinthia’s mind as she pressed buttons and scored points.
“We’re going to be—” her mother stopped at the bedroom doorway, staring in disbelief at her 8-year-old daughter who was sitting on the floor, uncomfortably close to the television screen. A video game controller was in her hands, and she was playing her favorite game.
Grabbing the controller from her hands, her mother turned off the television, told Cinthia she was grounded, and dragged her daughter to school Monday morning.

-3 days earlier-

By the time they arrived, the sun had set. The carnival was bigger than Cinthia had imagined, and the darkness made the flashing lights even brighter. It was a metropolis of excitement.
“Hold my hand,” her mother instructed.
First there was the ticket gate, then the balloon stand, and various concession stands. When there was a large bag of popcorn in her mother’s hand, they walked towards the heart of the carnival. Several stand owners called out to them, each offering a chance to win some prize. Finally, Cinthia saw what she wanted. Tugging at her mother’s arm, they approached the stand filled with giant stuffed animals hanging from the ceiling.
“Try your luck, ladies,” the carnival man said. “Sink a basket and win!” Then he handed her mother a bright orange basketball. Cinthia had hope since she knew her mother had played basketball in high school, and sure enough, the ball went through the hoop on the second try. Smiling and jumping up and down, Cinthia pointed to a medium-sized pink bear wearing a clown neck frill.
For the rest of the night, Cinthia proudly held the bear, displaying it to the world. Hand in hand she walked with her mother while they thought up names for the stuffed bear.

The next day they went to the movie theater. It was an otherwise regular, yet pleasant Saturday for the pair. The fact that Cinthia ate all of the popcorn was even the subject of a lighthearted joke between the two. In the evening, her mother read the first two chapters of a book to her before bed. When it was time for lights out, Cinthia begged her mother until she finally agreed to read more of the story.
“One more chapter,” her mother said. But one chapter was not enough for Cinthia, for she refused to go to sleep, kicking and screaming. Her mother worried it was because of lack of discipline, even thinking it a result of bad parenting, so she turned off the light. Before leaving, she handed Cinthia the toy bear as an afterthought and closed the bedroom door behind her.
The following day was not any better. Cinthia disobeyed her mother’s rules, eating food outside of the kitchen. Crumbs, wrappers, and candy were found on the floor outside of her room, and she was scolded for it. But Cinthia didn’t seem to mind or even get upset. She just nonchalantly returned to the kitchen and brought it back to her room, ignoring the warnings.
On the verge of tears, her mother grabbed her daughter and told her if she would stop getting food, she would buy her the video game she had been wanting. There seemed to be a small spark in Cinthia’s eyes at this, her mother thought. And so Cinthia obediently stayed in her room for the rest of the night while her mother worried about her daughter’s strange behavior.
In the morning, her mother was relieved the weekend was over. Going back to school would get her daughter back to normal again, she thought. But when the school bus came and went, she knew her daughter was not on it. Going to her room, she saw the door was shut and the lights were on. Inside, she saw Cinthia sitting on the floor in pajamas. Cinthia’s room was a mess, and there were wrappers everywhere. Seemingly in a trance, her daughter did not even turn around when her mother opened the door. The pink teddy bear was in her lap and the video game controller in her hand. Her mother turned off the game system and yelled at her daughter to get ready for school as she slammed her bedroom door.
After her mother quickly got dressed, she returned to Cinthia’s room, only to find her daughter playing the same video game.
“We’re going to be—” she stopped. Grabbing Cinthia’s arm, she dragged her out of the room and out the door, hoping to get her daughter to school on time.
When her mother returned home, she went to Cinthia’s room to take away all her video games as a punishment. She looked around the room for anything else to take when she saw the pink teddy bear. On the bear was a small tag that she hadn’t noticed before. It read: “gluttony.”

Gluttony

Gluttony starts small, we convince ourselves we can keep it in this small state.
Gluttony grabs you by the ear, and whispers "it's okay, just take a little more, it'll be fine".
So one continues on believing that its okay, more is better & less is not enough.
The more you take, the less you realize it's overtaking you.
the more you feed it, the worse it gets.
However, it blinds you, and you continue to believe that you need more and more,
convincing yourself you need it so badly that one has yet to realize it has turned to addiction.
Gluttony doesn't stop, it holds onto you like a parasite,
until one is so self involved that you begin to drown,
you drown in your gluttony, and lose sight of all that is important.
it consumes you, you lose your friends, your family, your sanity, but the guttony remains.
it consumes you a little more every time you fall for it and say "okay gluttony is right, a little more won't hurt"
it starts with a chocolate one day, the next it's a whole cake,
before you know it you need more,
you need the whole desert table,
and that's still not enough.

your small apartment and car that got you from point a to b?
it's not enough anymore, the shitbox car and basic roof over your head looked too junky,
now you want a fancy condo and a volks wagen,
but in a year or less, you'll want even more.
Next you'll want a BMW & a large house,
then 5 cars and large estate.

The drive never wanes or slows, it goes on.
it goes on until you defeat it, or it defeats you.

p.s. I tried.

Gluttony
Once there was a little girl named Estelle. One day Estelle went to the fair with her older brother, Everett. Estelle and Everett both loved sweets. When they first entered the fair, there was a cotton candy machine. They both immediately bought some and devoured it. A little farther along, there was a lady selling cupcakes. They both bought a chocolate raspberry cupcake and devoured it like they'd never seen food. At the next stop, there was a nice older couple giving away free candy. Estelle and Everett chatted with the couple for a few minutes, so they could keep eating candy and stuffing it in their pockets. Afterwards, they rushed to an area where not many people were around, so they could eat the candy without having to worry about what other people would say. As they were eating the candy, they heard an announcement about a cake eating contest. Everett decided he wanted to enter, so they both headed toward the contest booth. There were only a couple of other people who were entering the contest, so Everett had a good chance of winning. The first boy in the contest didn't last long. He only ate two pieces of cake. The second boy only ate five pieces of cake. By the time Everett had eaten his tenth piece of cake, he was no longer recognizable to his Estelle. He had become so gluttonous that he had turned into cake.
