ET:Ascension to Asgard - Journey to Jotunheim

Brave warriors of VP! I bring a message from the Aesir of old.

The Aesir have granted 15 females and 7 males a spot in Valhalla among the Einherjer. The Ejnherjer are all Viking warriors who died in battle. Now they feast and fight in Valhalla.
The Aesir only want the best of the best, so you have to fight for your spot. It is not enough to only be good at one thing to survive the battle: you must be skilled in many areas.

This battle will take place during four rounds, each with a different discipline you have to conquer. After each round your performance will be judged, and the best in each discipline will receive a token for their efforts.

Beside a spot in Asgard, the bravest warriors will also receive a gorgeous outfit designed by @mikkelrev so they can be well dressed when they arrive.

But do you have what it takes to earn a spot in Odin's Hall?

Welcome back to the third round of the battle for a spot in Odin's Hall. Last round's topic was fairly dark, so now it is time to cheer up a bit. And what is more merry than a wedding? It even involves a cross-dressing thunder god!
To win this round, you have to take a photo inspired by the the Wedding of Thor. What element of the story you focus on is up to you, but you have to take the picture yourself.

One morning the thunder god Thor woke up to find his beloved hammer Mjølnir missing. He leapt up and searched for it everywhere in both Asgard, the realm of gods, and in Midgard, the realm of humans., but without luck. He therefore concluded it had been stolen and he quickly went to Loki for help. Without his hammer, Asgard wouldn't be able to defend itself from the giants.
They hurried to the home of the goddess Freya, who was the fairest of the goddesses and good with magic besides, and Loki asked to use her falcon skin so he could fly and search for the hammer. She agreed and he flew to Jotunheim, the land of the giants. There he met the king of the frost giants, Thrym, who was very pleased with himself. Loki asked him if he had stolen Thor's hammer, and Thrym confirmed. He then told Loki that no-one would get it back unless Thrym got to marry Freya.
Loki flew back to Thor with the news, and together they went to Freya and told her she was getting married However, Freya got furious and refused.
All the gods then went together to discuss how to get Mjølnir back. One of the gods, the watchman Heimdall then came up with an idea: to send Thor in Freya's place, dressed up in a dress and veil so he wouldn't be recognized. All the gods and goddesses but Thor found this extremely hilarious and readily agreed with the plan. Thor was not pleased. However, Loki convinced him and decide to go as well, dressed as Thor's bridesmaid.
When they arrived at Thrym's home, they were greeted with great ceremony and led to the wedding feast. Thor was very hungry and ate an entire ox and eight salmons. When asked about this, Loki answered that 'Freya' hadn't eaten for the past eight nights because she was so excited for the wedding. Thrym then got a good look at 'Freya's' eyes and was shocked, they were like burning coals. Loki took it upon himself to answer that she simply hadn't slept for the past eight nights because she was so excited for the wedding.
Satisfied, Thrym brought forth Thor's hammer so they could start saying the marriage oath. But as soon as Thor got his hammer in his hand, he tore off his veil and killed all the giants present, starting with his 'husband'.

You have until the end of Odin's day next week to post your entry. That means, the deadline for posting entering is Wednesday November 4th, 23.59 CEST. Entries posted after that time will not be counted. You can see what time it is here.

The Aesir does not have many rules, but those that are, are as following:

No side accounts
The entry must be a photo you have taken yourself
- Post your picture in this thread before the deadline. If you want to change something, delete the entry and make a new post

Breaking those is not something a brave and honest warrior will do, so if the rules are not followed your entry will not count.

~~~~
Beside adding to their final score and your chance of winning the beautiful sets by Mikkelrev, the best pictures will receive beautifully built longship that will show their status. The ships have been built by the talented @Allie
Best of luck, and may the battle begin!
Ascension to Asgard - FaQ
Q: How many rounds will there be? And what do you have to do in them?
A: There will be four rounds. Each round will have a different theme and discipline. These will be revealed when the time comes.
Q: How are the entries judged?
A: The entries are judged on multiple parameters: the quality of the entry, how creative it is - are there five similar-looking ones? - and how well the entry fits the theme. After judging, the entry will receive a score from 1-10 from each judge. Those with the most points will win the round. After the last round, all the scores will be added together to find the main winners. That means not doing so well in one round doesn't immediately mean you don't have a chance to win the main prize.
Q: If you don't join one round can you still participate in the other rounds?
A: You can! However, it is better for your winning chances if you make a 'bad' entry than not entering at all. And who knows, maybe you'll surprise yourself?
Journey to Jotunheim - FaQ
Q: What exactly do we have to do?
A: You must take a picture inspired by the story of the Wedding of Thor. Which part you draw inspiration from is up to you. It is allowed to use editing programmes, but if doing so, it still has to be one of your own photos.
Q: I don't know much about Norse Mythology, please provide some more inspiration
A: Check out the following link for the full story: x
Yeah, it's so nice! I love when she's shown as more than just a superficial (and whiny/bitchy) beauty ^^
So, I decided to go for a photo actually taken in Jotunheimen, Norway, this summer,
as I thought the composition of the photo fit this story quite well.
____________
The white snow is symbolising the wedding itself, the mountaintops are the giants,
and the darker rain/storm clouds floating in, are supposed to symbolise that Thor is present.
I hope it won't be too difficult...
And it doesn't have to be like an 1:1 retelling with the photo, imagery and symbolism is fine as well
