Nominee 1:
When we asked nominee 1 what her favourite thing about VP was, she told us that she loved the variety of people within the community. In terms of improving the site, she believes that we should change all of the type into Comic Sans. During her 9 months on VP, she would say that her most important contribution is that she has raised the amount on sarcasm on the website.Ā In regards to recruiting new members, she would tell that āVirtual Popstar is not a good name for the website. I will pay you Ā£5 to make an accountā. Her VP goal is to buy out the domain and replace it with a photo of Jimmy Page. Something that no one would ever guess about her is that she is a āspecial snowflakeā who states that her soul is her favourite possession. In her spare time, she likes to create things and hopes to change the world one day. If she was to write a book, it would be a biography about her, from the perspective of her shoes. Her favourite book is the thesaurus because she believes it makes her sound more intelligent than she really is.

NomineeĀ 2 loves that the community of VP is a diverse one where people share their different opinions and are influenced by their own culture. She thinks the site would benefit if there was more games to play and if the admins logged onto the server more often. She has been on this site for two years (although she did take a break) and says that she helps out by trying to encourage people to participate in activities and giving big prizes. However, she stresses that it is important for all of us to try and make a difference, together. She has many VP goals:Ā be the owner of a label, get all 24 stars, have over 200 credits at once, have over 300k PD at least once, 100% population in every country, #1 in performances at least once, be in the Event and NT team, have VIP sponsor at least once, be a mod, gift someone manager and have the PT badge at least once. She has completed some of her goals and is working on the rest. Something that people would struggle to guess about her is her age because of her height and the way she types on the internet. A real life goal of hers is to work for Google as she is always Googling things and would like to thank Google for making life so much easier for her. Her favourite possession is her tiny stuffed golden doggy and one day she wants a real dog just like it. She likes the book Divergent and if she could write her own book, it would be her own twist on Divergent, The Hunger Games and The Selection.

Nominee 3 has been on VP for around 2 years and would say her favourite thing about VP is the close, tight-knit community. She says that the good thing about our small population is that you get a chance to get to know everyone. She would love to see more admin activity and says that there are parts of the site that still need to be translated into English. :-( This user contributes to the community by being active and trying her hardest to help new users! To new members or to people having doubts, she would let them know that āVP is a very welcoming community! Once you get into it, you'll get addicted to this siteā.Ā She has recently completed her VP goal of getting certain items of clothing and does not currently have any goals. Offsite, she loves to read in her spare time ā she gets through a book a day by reading on the bus! Something that you may not know about her is that she has not spoken to any of her family members (other than her parents) since she was 3. Her favourite possession the blanket she has had since she is 5 ā she is amazed she still has it because she loses everything. In terms of aspirations, she really just needs to concentrate on passing Spanish. If she was to write a novel, it would involve romance, loss and adventure. Lastly, her favourite book at the moment is The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan.

Nominee 4 has been on VP for 9 months and loves how everyone can be so friendly at times. She believes the community is welcoming regardless of who you are and that you donāt have to worry about being excluded. She has contributed to VP by bringing 180 new members to the site! In terms of improving VP, she wishes that the wardrobe problem (when you have more than 15 pages of clothing, the 15th page gets cut off and you canāt wear anything on page 15) would be fixed! If you have doubts about VP, she would be happy to tell you about how there are so many ways to have fun, whether it be designing or being competitive and becoming one of the most famous popstars on VP. She would love to join the moderating, events and Youtube teams one day, hoping to be a figure that people go to for help. She states that no one would ever guess that she has a sensitive and quiet side, as she usually laughs and smiles all of the time. In the future, she would love to become a marketing manager, supporting her family as she grows older. Also, she would love to learn how to create Youtube videos and code. Further, she would love to attend a prestigious school such as Harvard or Princeton. In her spare time, she likes reading, solving logic/math problems, playing games online and doing homework (she finds it peaceful somehow). Her favourite possession is the computer and her favourite book is The Cabinet of Wonders," part of the Kronos Chronicles, book 1, by Marie Rutkoski. Lastly, if she was to write a novel it would have the story line of a girl in coma, who sees herself as a tiny thought/figure travelling through the back of her mind, journeying towards a sanctuary in the very centre of her mind. In doing so, she is knowingly and willingly letting go of the cold, harsh real world, and as she travels through the many realms she has created herself as a child, she begins to realize that the truth is never what it really seems.

What nominee 5 loves about VP is definitely the community. She says she has never been on a site with so many nice people and she loves the cultural diversity. What she also loves about VP is the clothing, as they are so pretty and many of them are from the users. She thinks that VP could improve with a new design and more users. She has been on VP since the beginning and is happy to have been able to see the sites improvements through time, but despite being around for a while, she feels like she hasnāt done much for VPās success other than sometimes posting on the forum. To people who are hesitant to join, she would tell them to try VP out before judging because itās a great community and she never gets bored! Her goals involve getting unavailable items from her wishlist and making other people happy. Offline, she would like to complete her final exams āwithout a too bad gradeā and would also like to go to New York as an Au Pair to meet her exchange student. This user loves dancing and reading, as well as gymnastics with her friends. Something interesting that you might not know about her is that she lies on her bed in a weird position when she does her homework. Also, she has been talking to herself and thinking in English, which surprises her because it is not her first language. Her most prized possession is her golden bracelet that she is always wearing. She got it 3 or 4 ago while on vacation in France and Monaco with her family. One of her ideas for a novel is about a girl who is kidnapped and taken to a dragon hunter academy and gets to know the world of mystical creatures. On the academy she learns how to fight against dragons but on her first dragon hunt trip she gets hurt and is saved by a dragon. So after that they still have contact because the dragons can also appear as human and they find out she is actually a dragon, too and that the academy kidnapped her because her parents were very powerful ones. Lastly, when asked what her favourite book was, she said āAsking me to choose my favourite book is like asking a mother to choose her favourite child" but if she had to choose she would say Emerald Green by Kerstin Gier and The Iron Queen by Julie Kagawa.
