This summer my grandmother passed away from breast cancer. It was very possible she could have made it but due to psychological problems she was unable to and ended up passing in the hospital.
She had it once before when I was very young and had a mastectomy.

My grandfather recently passed away this year due to cancer (I believe it was lung cancer). It's been hard since he also was a big part of my childhood and I was so used to seeing him. He passed away as soon as we found out so it's still hard to think that he's not here anymore. However, even though its hard to keep remembering this fact, I take it one day at a time to mourn his passing and just remembering the times we shared.

They also have volunteers who can be there for people who just need a good chat to get things off of their chest.

That's rough. I'm sorry about your uncle (aunt's boyfriend) and your grandmother. I think it's hard that many people who get cancer end up getting it more than once. That's just not fair, but neither is life.

I try to spend my time with him in positive ways. He was actually supposed to die a few years ago but he is still here. I'm so happy that I was able to grow up to know him and he didn't die before I got to make all the wonderful memories I did with him. He is not going to out live the cancer but he will have at least been able to thoroughly meet all his grand children and live a happy life. He is very into music and still plays the guitar actually. He is a very good cook as well. I like to talk about the good more than the bad. I hope this wasn't too personal.
