tumblr can have a lot of bullying yes but i feel like many online spaces have the exact same vibe going on 

Yeah i get that, many fandoms are toxic and when a toxic fandom is on a site the whole site gets dragged down.  And that mark can be hard to erase and there was a time when it was a big SJW feminist agenda on that site. I was not even a member back then but it was alo of talk about that site and it made it less welcoming to join.
