I don't get people who say it's cruel to have a biological child and not adopt an existing one
I think it's cruel that (these are not the circumstances for all adoptions obviously) people who are unfit to care or don't want their child, can bring it into this world and then just disregard their duty
while meanwhile people who would like to have their own children, should take care of the others ones
TW!
I feel like people will hate me for this but I've seen so many cases in the hospital of drug using parents, alcoholic parents, abusive parents, people who literally hate their baby
And that they can birth it and then just not care?
And I who would, out of a partnership of love, be so happy to have a biological child should be called cruel for not adopting one?? Like ??
Of course I would consider adopting as well.
But I want at least 1 biological child!
having children is selfish because the child did not decide to live
and
you can still have children despite that because we cannot be puritanical monks. something u do will always be selfish, whether that is not recycling, or eating meat, or not buying fairtrade, or plastic straws etc etc etc
Caring about the environment is all the rage but somehow when it comes to having more children people are skittish about saying anything, even though it's one of the worst things you can do to the environment as an individual.
