yes, i change my passwords each month. websites are hacked all the time, and wherever you have used your email puts you at risk if your email password is the same/similar one as you have used for another site's login info

using vp as an example, the person who hacks into vp's server could gain access to your vp password as well as your email address. at this point they don't know ur email password, but that's what they are trying to figure out, and your vp password might give them a clue as to what your email password might be like. gaining access to your email can be extremely dangerous depending on what you use that specific email for. depending on how many ppl's info is leaked, the chance of them logging into ur email specifically is relatively low unless u r a person of interest, but it's still good to practice safety because it *can* happen
