Next round, I sit there by myself for 45 min and no one ends up joining. I email HR (it's only noon), and the next day they email back saying oops that wasn't supposed to happen, and reschedule me for an interview the next week.

I don't need the job since I already have one, but I do really want to experience at least 2 technical rounds to collect all the questions they ask & improve my big question bank I practice from, so I agree.

That round goes super great; the guy is super technical and I'm grilled on interesting topics, but after that I end up being ghosted  I have a feeling I did well tho since I also landed other offers in big tech around that time, so after 1 followup (so I can gauge how well I did) I let it be. 7 months later, a different HR lady reaches out and says OMG we're so sorry you fell through the cracks, you got great feedback and you did actually get an offer, we just didn't realize. Do you still want the job  The audacity 

Very interesting exp, but going into it I already knew: their turnover rate is awful, and their wlb is in the shitter especially under AWS. They are still on my tech employer blocklist for many reasons, even if their security programs are pretty robust. I felt the worst for the other guy who was interviewing bc they were a graduate student and seemed kind of stressed, I know H-1B Visa stuff is rly annoying in the US and the opportunity likely meant a lot to them ;;;
