but tbh mine isn't doing amazing just because of that, it goes crazy when i start sims so i only play for a while
and then an hour again

Yeah, that would definitely explain a lot too. Unfortunately. 
If you want more storage for your game you could by a separate hard drive to have your whole game on, including cc. But that would require you bring the hard drive where ever you want to play Sims ahah

My mac worked great between 2015-2017, because of the fewer packs, and it wasn't that old
Cc is the best part tbh : D

Ahah this made me think of another kind of collab than what I usually do. 

I never use cc, I don't have any downloaded at all. So making a sim without cc, and then someone else add the cc. 
So the one without cc does the genetics, face and body type and the one with cc does the rest without adjust the features and such avaha
