what the fuck is "womanly" skills. Imagine being angry about people wanting the freedom to choose their own life.
Also, sorry not sorry, but if you're only just learning the skills to stay at home and keep the home well, you're a shit tradwife who's benefitted a ton from the women's rights movement before you changed your own tune.
yea idk man 💀 idk what skills shes talking abt.... cleaning??? cooking????? not sure how those would b useless
i told her to get on incel reddit or maybe join a fringe religious sect
the psychology is interesting to me bcs there's a strong wish to abandon all personal responsibility but in a very american individualistic way that almost clashes with itself. and then whining how others have made the decision (so to say) that you have to live in a specific way, and you want the freedom to live in another way. and the fear and anger that fuels all of it
I honestly don't know either??? I feel like I have the whole tradwife skillset and use it often, simply because I am more home than my boyfriend (because I'm a student) and I haven't learnt anything groundbreaking to take care of our apartment.
There's also a big tradwife movement on instagram... it keeps popping up as a recommendation for me, and it's usually women talking about supermarket food being poison, them having 4+ children and such. It's fucking weird.
True !! it's very weird. I also feel like most tradwives are angry about most of their social circle still working and doing stuff, and therefore they can't entertain them or fuel them with their social need they're not getting fulfilled with their children and husband.
i think it's less about having useful skills n more society validating those skills in the way she wants
