I've watched a generation of girls grow up to be software engineers and digital artists because they had those spaces to explore their interests and skills in an engaging way. 
idk maybe I'm just a bleeding heart, but I'm really not thinking of myself all that much when it comes to GSM returning - I'll go back and play it, but I know that at my age, I'm a guest in that space. It's always been a space for teens/adolescents, and we all know that. 

Nostalgia of former users is what's bringing it back, but new users are the only thing that will keep it afloat.

part of why i love vp is that its all girls gays and theys. the internet has always sucked for girls and these spaces are soooo important for teenage girls. girls have always found safetey in pixel doll community games. the palace dollz is probably the earliest example in the mid 90s. i was addicted to this shit in 1999.

my prediction is a gsm comeback would start off with all of us old ladies online for nostalgia and then a couple hit tiktoks will draw in the everskies crowd.
