No! It's pretty much mine if I want it. It's also just expectations for the role.
It'll be a small raise next year and then go quite far up from there over the next few. Top salary will be 42K (+18,78% pension), which I'll hit after 7 years, so that gives an average of 1K a year as a raise?
that sounds not bad, steady and nice, and I imagine you can find something better if u want a bit of a higher salary but not too high that you'd have to work in one of those big firms unless you are happy with 42k in 7 years, idk how it works rlly in Denmark

I have to be honest though, you made me wanna research things that would interest me in uni again and would pay well and have a demand... doubt it exists in my case but who knows
but it's good! I am regaining my want and determination to go to uni, just a shame it'd be at 24-25 but hey, better late than never
42K will be fine compared to where I live in the country. It's not the best pay for my education, but the skills I'll get are also worth something.

24-25 is a good time to start! I retook a year, and the extra age and life experience has really made it go much more smoothly so I would say go for it! Salary is such a weird size though, so it's really just about finding your niche in the market where you think you'll thrive.

For comparison, getting hired at Novo Nordisk (biggest company in Denmark) as unskilled labour will give you this salary the first year you work there:

(translation purposes: 56K before tax, and 35K after)
that's good, is it good to save up to buy a house n slowly get the bf to be the sthh of your dreams?
idk how the housing market situation everywhere but I know here its still possible to buy an apartment or even a house

I hope it is and I hope I won't beat myself over the age and basically sabotage myself jbfsjdb
also really like
conflicted now
what to actually go and study??? I thought maybe I should go and become a sworn translator here, idk if there are steady jobs for that line but I only need Polish for it, not even a degree but maybe it'll be not good enough?
maybe chase the ol dream of voice acting since Poland is THE country of game development and it could be good but also too many people...
and ofc the original plan of archaeology AAAAA
too much choice I do not like it so first that ig and then finding the niche....
reassuring hearing that being older helped you, I hope it'll be the case with me as well

35k after tax.................. wtf.......
do yall not have minimum wage? how does it even work... maybe I should encourage hubby to go to denmark and I study there he works LMAO

We fortunately moved away from big city, and now we can get 150 m2 for around 1,5mil (2 mil for 60 m2 in our old city) so it's reasonable!!

I think translation work is paid okay? If you have some translation work wouldn't that work well with potential voice acting too? I think it's always hard, and especially language currently due to massive improvements in tech, but if it's something you're passionate about it's usually easier to study + get a job later.
Idk with archaeology though.. it seems like a harsh market to get into.
But don't let age get you down! I think it's better to go for a more settled education when you get older

It's crazy! tbf novo nordisk is like 2% of our BNP, but I wish it was me. We actually don't have any legal minimum wage, but a lot of worker's rights are through unions instead. So while most people have an okay or good pay, we also have some parts that are massively underpaid (restaurant work)
