I actually bought a perk, they charged my bank account - but I did not get a confirmation mail for the contribution and it is also not listed in the contribution section. Annoying.
That's been happening to a lot of folks, unfortunately indiegogo support is the only ones who can help with that.
I always screenshot my conformation pages for this reason.

I think it's something related to the currency conversions and what banks in what countries are accepted. It's been kinda messy, I'm not a an of indiegogo

I don't know either. I have already contacted the customer service, this is what I got:
so according to that, you should get ur money back after max 5 days since they sent you this email - has it already been that long?
First business day. So end of the week.

I don't know if I should buy it again then now, what if it fails again? Cuz I need to hurry more or less since it's the name perk.
When I first tried to buy a perk, my bank flagged it as a fraudulent charge and it kept failing even after I communicated with the bank that it was in fact me and no i didn't make a mistake
my bank freaks out anytime currency conversion comes into play lol

oh also their only actual update on getting the site up and running was posted on nov 11th, and it's all abt them fixing the way the text works on the site.... and how they "lost a portion their editor tool ™ relied on" and how they need to use this editor tool ™ to make the text on the site work (wow)

like they're simultaneously complicating the way they say things while also saying p much nothing at all 🫠 if making text work on a website is complicated enough for them to exclusively give a pinged update on it.....
I found that super confusing too lol
I can never tell if it's a language-barrier thing, or that I just no longer understand web development

lmao my pessimist brain tells me it's one or more of these things

1. they also realized it's kinda sus they haven't given a single update on the development, and in panic mustered together this negligible bit of info to keep up the hype and seem less scammy to ppl like me. which failed, as getting text working properly on a site is?? rudimentary??
2. their devs are so shit they find making the text work a remarkable victory
3. they think their audience doesn't understand that getting text to show up on a website is essentially step one, and that relaying this info is revolutionary somehow

It's definitely not #3, they've been hanging with a lot of us in discord, they're engaged and well aware and a huge chunk of their userbase grew up to be web developers and engineers

#1 It's not technically the first update, they've given more in discord, they're just too subtle, the update on indiegogo was posted in the discord several days earlier so I wonder if the dude just now got into indiegogo to add that, rather than their community outreach team

#2 no idea

indiegogo is notorious for being a portal to companies looking to scam ppl tho, and not giving two shits abt the ppl who do get scammed. crowdfunding platforms in general tend to have this rep, but indiegogo is among the worst of the more popular ones. they have accumulated several years worth of negative reviews from ppl who have gotten scammed and left eating the dust, so i wouldn't exactly call it "protected"
