I have never liked Oslo much either
but it's grown on me after taking a couple trips there by myself without the stress of awful class trips
Tbh I have only been in one city that I have felt more uncomfortable in, and I have been a few places in Europe.
Ugh I really get you though based on your reasons
The only city I dislike more is London and I know I'm likely alone on it. But it's just.. not appealing to me at all. It's the stronghold of grey and sadness imo

I live ish at Grünerløkka and I H A T E it. I have never been a fan of Oslo, I went because its cheaper for me regarding Rikshospitalet but by the end of my BA it will be sorted out so then we'll see. And because I wanted to study linguistics, the only other option was Bergen and then i would have had to travel to Oslo. And deal with them saying boss for garbage.
ugh, i would have died if i lived at grünerløkka, like it's a nice place to just visit for a little while, but i would never be comfortable living there. ahh yes that makes sense. I hope everything sorts out for you.

yes. no can do.
I lived at grünerløkka for 6 months last year, ahah
i'm glad you survived/liked it

London is OK to me, but far from amazing
I really disliked Barcelona though which I am alone in. That isn't because of the city itself, but all of the stress I experienced trying to explore it

almost all dance institutions and stages in oslo are at grünerløkka, so it was nice cause I could just walk in between them and my apartment

It's not for me. I like cities but not that one lmao. I've set my mind on getting away and I will no matter what. Even if I have to carry my own possessions myself to a different place I will leave Oslo next summer.
honestly i think it's good that not everyone wants to live in oslo.. hahah you seem very sure about this. i hope you don't have to carry them tho

I'm always sure about my decisions once I've made them. I'm likely only going to be in oslo for about 5 days max in June, and then I won't go back before the semester starts unless anyone wanna go there and wanna live for free there lmao. Hopefully I'll manage to trick some people into visiting me this autumn so I have things to look forward to, I've realised it's the only way of coping with the situation. Knowing when I can leave the next time and knowing if there's something nice to look forward to.

My mother got the fantastic idea of having a horribly stressful trip through Europe one year so we randomly bought one-way tickets to London and had to find a way to get back to our hometown (ideally before we ran out of money). That's the most notable places I've been in my personal opinion. I've been to Stockholm and .. pretty much the majority of Finland and Sweden but I can't tell for sure what's where and stuff.
Tallinn is a very very very nice city to see, I'll strongly recommend it if you're ever in Helsinki (ferries over to Tallinn is surprisingly cheap) and it's 10/10 worth it. But I wouldn't set my entire vacation to Tallinn as it's a very small place.
