ok give me a second
Q: where will you go once it dies?
A: to its funeral, and i might as well just wait until a new VP comes out or something like that. i genuinely do not really like ES and im not so sure about GSM so . . .
Q:Â do you care if it dies?
A: yes of course. i have a lot of memories here, and ive met so many people that i think it would be really sad to lose contact with
Q:Â will you stay in contact with its users?
A: hopefully yes :-)
Q:Â do you want to do anything to help save vp?
A: im not sure if there's much that I can do personally, since im pretty broke and cannot afford helping financially, but if there were other ways, i would try to help yes
i honestly highly doubt there will be a new vp.. i think gsm is the last successful attempt at reviving the online dress-up game genre
i would care if it dies too, idk i mean part of me has already moved on from all the memorable stuff that happened here but. it'd be sad to look back on it as something that has absolutely no chance of ever happening again, because currently i always think of it like "meh vp can have its fun moments even if it's rare nowadays"
ur so kind miguel i think the best thing to help vp would be to have Serious People promoting it and you know.. some way to motivate designers because vp is 98% dependent on items to live but. we're going through the 257th item drought .. understandably. it's just not worth it.
personally i think also a big part of what makes having items worth it is being able to show them off in the forums but if there's no activity..
i think i'd also add the sadness that comes from the death of overall similar games. we already have lost other big games like club penguin, and other games that are purely for dressing up, since the end of flash. i have lost a lot of interest in games in general because of the lack of actual fun games, you know? i try to play other games like fortnite or valorant, but to me, nothing can compete with how much fun i had when i was younger and was able to spend hours dressing up pixel dolls lol
yes, motivation is extremely important. lets also have in mind that not only does vp depend on the few designers that are left, but also these designers are mostly also adults who have real life things that happen everyday, and they cannot be expected to put everything aside in order to give us more items. i also wish more people would talk in the forums (me included), but i think we just lack the same energy we used to have :-(
i completely understand you.. i really do think these online games are becoming a thing from the past and it's a bit unfortunate. like truly es/gsm/vp are the last ones standing and i'm sure it won't be long before the other two also give out tbhhh
