yes im struggling with like the darker ones bein too blue n the warmer ones bein too brightish... i think og colour would be harder to find even... i actually havent looked at others in a bit i should add some to my board 
 and i thought picking out a purple was hard halp.. and momo has so MUCH green too so it's not something u can just be like ehh whatever about

i should ditch school and come up to u so we can check in store 🙂‍↕️

yeah fabric type too is like.. i keep goin back n forth between oay it should be basic cotton right... but linen mix/linen structure would fit the character bc maid but atp do i just keep making it her but a bit more detailed 
rightt i get u 😭 i was really lost on what to go for as well because if i was gonna go alll out n be a little extra silly i kinda wanted to go for something thicker for the skirt to give it more volume, but then i'd have to make sure i get a good thinner matching fabric for the shirt and it would complicate the actual sewing process as well  so i reminded myself like haii u haven't used a sewing machine in like 9 years so maybe chill  i settled for basic whatever cotton for black and purple but then got slightly fancier sateen ish for the vest because i think that's the only part that won't look right without the sheen

yes i think this was a rly smart choice cos what ive seen so far looks rly good, n vest sheen feels like the important part, in that sense im kinda glad momo mostly just has very like natural fabrics sorta look to her stuff

yeah it really is rahhh it's so easy to go too warm or too cool.. and she has so many different purples in her art,, i mainly based it on the original concept art sketch because i think that one has a good balance, but then i also wondered like  i'm probably gonna get pure black for the black parts instead of like a purple Toned black like in some of her art because that's just gonna make things easier for me and it eliminates one more color problem to figure out, but then i was like ummm but  but will  the purple look less good if i go pure black do i need to adjust the purple choice to look nicer with the black or o or r     or do i just  want a more muted purple or..........         

but then my grandma and i went n visited some old lady she knows and i got to look through her literal mountains of old fabric (which was mostly insane patterns) and she had a purple that was basically the exact same as in the concept art and i got to buy it from her for cheap so LMAO

yeees definitely!! i think if i had picked a matte fabric for the vest i wouldn't be happy with the almost final result rn 😭  if anything i think i could've potentially enjoyed a different texture on the purple but it really doesn't bother me, it's the same as the black so it will look uniform yk

omg god bless old ladies and their huge collection of crafting materials that rules... but yes i get the comparison stuff im kinda like panicking about the white too because i feel like plain white will look too white with green irl pls
