well still hard to believe most will get to 20k+ cr atleast multiple times without spending 0 money
If we also coutn you dont have firiends etc to help with it
But like ppl will sell those gsm shit in game so you could just get it without paying from there but idk why some feel to be so against buying 4e each color of some hairs/dresses but idk think those people often dont spend much to pixel games

I am honestly one of the people who don't mind spending money on online games and communities. I just want to see the actual product (i.e. the website in this instance) before actually spending any money on it.

I also think it's fair to criticise MCW on VP, but at least I know what product I'm getting and how the website actually functions and that these sets won't be rereleased later. There's no website running for this campaign (yet) and I therefore don't know what I'm sinking my money into, while I also don't know if these are a "one time only exclusive offer" for the economic support for the website.
I mean fair point but yeah guess everyone does how they feel about it
It just seems this entire gsm thing has so many miced opinions that im little bit surprised tbh

- they have given total of two updates on actual site development, which revolve around rudimentary website development steps, such as getting the text to work on the site (step one in website development), as well as the user/email system (step one in server development)
- they still state they will have a functioning website delivered by december, which i highly doubt esp considering they find the above steps worth documenting

nowadays this type of scams are popularized by NFTs, but there's also been other projects, for example indie games that got several million dollars in crowdfunding (such as chronicles of elyria) and were never delivered. crowdfunding sites are full of these, u don't have to even explicitly search for them before one pops before ur eyes

There is a difference her, with the fact that momio (previously watagame) already is an established company with a track record for delivering games of some quality, so this isn't a random kickstarter for a brand new product where they can promise everything. Additionally the momio crew have been very upfront about multiple aspects of the retrieval process, like which types of clothings they have available from the original sites existence, and their limitations when it comes to bringing back old games. I find it understandable that they want to continue to offer objects and perks that might have some sentimental value for their users, who will primarily consist of users from the previous site that I am also under the impression are well aware of the nostalgia connected with the relaunch.

The perks are optional, and although I know the model resembles time limited offers in other game designs, and campaigns, I don't really see how else they were supposed to give back to the people contributing to the crowdfunding. The perks that have been made available have been so because the community has asked for these specific items in the chats in their discord, and a lot of the trading/collecting on gSm was also a thing back in the day, so having some aspect of that remain with the relaunch might not be all bad, if you know what I mean.

I absolutely agree that we should be critical of what is being promoted and crowdfunded, but I think some of your pessimism is misplaced?

what I do ultimately agree with you on is the time aspect that they have set, as they have insinuated that the site will be up and running by December (not sure when in December) it seems they have a lot on their plate when it comes to getting the site up and running.
