that has always stressed me out too, like what if we actually know things and thus can't give a reference....? but often, the more sources the better, cause then they can't pick on you for 'taking credit for something that's not yours', though that's hard when you actually haven't used a reference. idk

but like since this is your 'field' it shouldn't be looked at as suspicious or strange that you actually know those things tho, so you're probably going to be fine not having a source for that even if it's not in the pensum for this year
