Yeah I think it ended there and when we get the new update it will drift to the coastal area.
That might be, I'm kind of curious about just drifting and seeing if i will get somewhere. but on the other hand i feel like i wont end anywhere.

I drifted by about 4-5 piles of stones and a wooden box now.

Totally agree, it would also seem weird to change the whole map and not change theme in any way? no? Maybe the new season is something to with the rock? Maybe we are back to square one and dinosaurs? Maybe it's dune? Idk i feel like all of those could explain the desert you could see in the distance
