Aaaw, that's so nice!
I'm okay today! I finally ended up traveling to Berlin to see a surgeon, and she gave me some advice and we're going to be scheduling a surgery!
She suggested a very specific diet for me, and I'm not sure if it's working, but I feel a lot better right now. My mom is following it too and she lost a bunch of swelling on her leg as a result, which is wild.
Have you been wanting this surgery for a while? If so, that’s really good! And if you don’t mind me asking, cause I’m a little confused right now, what kind of surgery is it?
Diets and life style changes can take a while before you actually see an effect of though, or it depends what the goal with it is, but if you’re feeling better you should take that as a good sign!
Og wow
Yeah, for over a year and a half now. The danish doctors just wouldn't do it.
It's surgery for endometriosis! The diet I'm on is a low histamine diet, I can only be on it for about a month at most, because it's too restricted for long time use. The purpose it serves is just to lower the amount of histamine in my body, which has an effect on pain response.
I've been on it for about a week.
My old doctors just told me to eat healthy (???), but there are plenty of healthy things I can't have on low histamine diet. Tomatoes, avocado, any type of legume, chili, dairy... There's a reason I can't eat it for very long.
Ah, that’s unfortunate, but so nice that you are getting somewhere with this new surgeon then!
